MEET Under the Newport pier for lessons and camps
(Tents are only setup during the weeks of Summer)

(Take note: See the neon green shirts in this photo? This is where you meet your instructor, for the lessons you've booked. In the Sand!).
The Newport Beach Pier (Blackies) is one of the safest beaches to surf in California. It consists of a flat beach that provides gentle surf with its smooth, sandy bottom. In addition, the Lifeguard Head-Quarters is directly above our location. They are there all year long.
DIRECTIONS: Park in the big metered parking lot (off 21st). The meters accept credit cards. After parking, walk towards the pier. Enter the sand/beach between the Dory Fisherman's Fleet and the Pier. Turn left IMMEDIATELY, and walk under the Newport Pier! There will be a grey building, with a small door to the lower level. This is where you will meet your instructor, and get your wetsuit & surfboard. Surf Instructors will have on a green Instructor jersey.

Directions: From 405
- Take 55 fwy south to Newport Beach
- 55fwy turns into Newport BLVD. stay on this until it turns into W.Balboa Blvd. get in right lane.
- Take a right on 21st St.(Hint:follow the signs to Newport Beach Pier)
- Park in Metered parking lot.
- Walk directly under the Newport Pier.
